PLAYING REINDEER ALPHABET BINGO
Have the kids cover up their free spot (Rudolph) in the middle of the board.
Call out a letter. Each child should place a marker on the letter that is called. Get five in a row or column and call, “REINDEER” to win.
If the kids are ready to work on sounds, you can call a sound and then have the kids cover the letter that represents that sound.
A LITTLE REINDEER READING
Of course, you also need to read a reindeer book or two to the kids too after playing.
The Wild Christmas Reindeer by Jan Brett is the story of a little girl who is trying to get the reindeer ready for Santa. But, her firm ways just aren’t working. Little Teeka learns that being gentle and helpful is the way to teach.
Then, there is the classic, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. Check out this version illustrated by Antonio Javier Caparo.
