We are talking about bingo machines here, mostly Bally, but with a few digressions into United and other manufacturers.

Where's the little numbered balls?
Wrong kinda bingo. We are interested in pinball machinesthat look somewhat like this thing.
They have no flippers, 5+ balls, and are, umm, 'for amusementonly' (we posted a 'No Gambling Allowed' sign on the machine...that's how much we mean it!).

Also, Jeffrey Lawton(no, that's not me!) has published a book published by Schiffer cleverlytitled 'Bally's Bingo Pinball Machines', so it should be easyto find.

A very good computer version of various machines is at http://bingo.joopriem.nl/. Plus, he's building in a method for using the software with a real playfield and cabinet so you can add a computer and display to create a multiple game machine.

| Mixer and reflex unit diagrams for Venice provided by Jack Shoup. Orient uses the same mixers. Actually, Jack cut the entiremixer assembly and reflex unit out of a parts head and mailed them to me. Worked great except mixer 5 has two 14-x wires attached, so I had to guess which was which. Anyone with a Venice or Orient can verify I got it wrong. The host will introduce the game, drop the bingo balls and begin calling numbers. Players dab the numbers on their cards as they are called. If a player thinks that they have a good bingo, while the game is still active, they call into our toll-free number and provide us with their card number to verify if it’s a winner. The first caller with a good bingo will stop the game, and the host will announce the winning card number.
Game #1 For this game, players look for any line or the 4 corners. This is a very quick game pattern with 13 possible ways to win on each card. If a player believes they have a good bingo, they call in to the toll-free number listed on their cards, the player will be asked for their card number and we’ll verify if it is a good bingo. The first caller with a good bingo will stop the game, the host will announce the winning card number and will move onto the next game.

Game #2 For this game, players are looking for the letter “X” on their card. This is a medium length game, a winning player needs to have all numbers dabbed on their card diagonally through the center. If a player gets a letter X dabbed on one of their cards, they call the toll-free number and we’ll verify if it is a good bingo. The first caller with a good bingo will stop the game, the host will announce the winning card number and we’ll move onto the next game.
Game #3 Is the escalating jackpot full card game. Also, known as a blackout or coverall game, where players must have all the numbers of the face to win. If a player blacks out their card in 52 numbers or less they will WIN the ESCALATING JACKPOT!
If the 53rd number is called without a player calling in with a good bingo, the jackpot will carry over to the next week. The host will continue to call balls until we get a winner(s). Winners who call in anytime after the 53st number is called will win the consolation prize for that week. If a player gets all their numbers on their Escalating Jackpot face dabbed, they call in to the toll-free number listed on their cards, the player will be asked for their card number and we’ll verify if it is a good bingo. The first caller with a good bingo will stop the game, the host will announce the winning card number.

Players have until Tuesdays at 4:30pm following the live weekly broadcast to call in to check if they have a good bingo. Players can call the toll-free number listed on their cards and we will verify it with our software to see if it is in fact a winner or not. After the Tuesday 4:30pm cut off a final list of winners will be put together for all three games and the prize payouts will be calculated, as there could be multiple winners for each game. For players that called in and confirmed they had a good bingo, they must mail their card via registered mail to the address listed on the cards or drop it off to our office. Once we receive the card, a cheque will be issued to the winner to claim their prize.
